Painting, oil on board, London & North Western Railway 2-4-0 locomotive No 764 Shap, by G Harrison, about 1959. Depicts the locomotive ascending a gradient, with smoke pouring from its chimney and mixing with steam blowing from the safety valve. Part of a passenger carriage is visible behind the tender, and the crew can be seen on the footplate. Beneath the embankment is a dry stone wall, and there are hills in the distance. Signed by the artist at bottom right. Framed and unglazed.
