Poster, World War Two 'Lend a Hand on the Land at a Volunteer Agricultural Camp' by John A Nunney. Coloured lithograph depicting a pair of hands, one of them rolling up a sleeve. Five young women and two elderly men are hoeing a field on a farm, with farm buildings in the background. Details are given for the Volunteer Recruitment Bureau in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and "Northumberland District" is written in pencil on reverse. Stamped "L.N.E.R." for London & North Eastern Railway and dated "April 1945" is written on the reverse. Printed by Charles and Read Ltd; published by His Majesty's Stationery Office (T51-4670). Overall: crown. Dimensions: 20 x 15 inches.
