Poster Inter-City Sleepers, Overground by Night, advertising British Rail sleeper train services, 1974. The poster is in the schematic style of the famous London tube map, originally designed by Harry Beck in 1931. It plays on the London underground name by calling the British Rail sleeper trains the 'overground'.

Sleeper trains are made up of carriages fitted with beds for overnight travel. The services depicted on the map range from Penzance in Cornwall to Inverness and Aberdeen in Scotland. The line from London Victoria station also shows connections by boat train across the English Channel to Paris and Brussels.

The poster features the slogan "Close your eyes and you're almost there" and includes the British Rail double arrow logo. It was printed for the British Railways Board by Lonsdale & Bartholomew of Nottingham, England.
