Poster, British Railways (Western Region), Herefordshire by John Chater, about 1955. Coloured lithograph depicting a rural street scene of half-timbered shops and houses, with a church spire at the end of the street, and rolling fields in the background. A farm worker is walking up the street carrying two buckets, and a woman stands in a shop doorway. The scene is probably intended to represent the town of Weobley and its church of St Peter & St Paul. The painting is signed by the artist, and at the bottom of the poster is the title, the text "Travel by Rail" and the green British Railways totem. Printed by Waterlow & Sons Limited.
