Poster, London Midland & Scottish Railway, Colwyn Bay by Montague Birrell Black, about 1927. Coloured lithograph depicting the view looking down on the town from a hillside, through trees. Below is the seafront and Victoria pier, with the Little Orme in the distance. At bottom left is the text, "Colwyn Bay, an ideal winter and summer resort". At bottom right is the title "An Autumn Dawn on Colwyn Bay" with the artist's signature below and the words "McCorquodale & Co., Ltd." At top right are the letters "LMS". Text in the bottom margin reads "LMS "The Best Way" Series No. 23. Illustrated guide (Post free, 3d.) from Information Bureau, Colwyn Bay or any LM&SR enquiry office." Format: quad royal.
