The Marley Viaduct

Coloured lithograph, The Marley Viaduct (at Rattery Mill), by W Dawson, 1848. Depicts Rattery Viaduct on the South Devon Railway. In the foreground is a hunting party with three huntsmen on horseback with hounds. Alongside is a stone wall, with a man leaning on it looking at the passing huntsmen. The viaduct, with six stone arches, is beyond, with Rattery Mill visible in the background between the arches. On the viaduct is a disc signal, with a railway policeman standing next to it. Signed at bottom left "W Dawson, 1848". Text below reads "Lithographed and printed by W Spreat, Exeter".
