Painting, oil on canvas, The Bristolian by Leslie Carr, about 1950. Depicts Great Western Railway King Class 4-6-0 locomotive King Edward VI in British Railways livery, hauling the Bristolian passenger train of crimson and cream carriages through Twyford Cutting in Berkshire. The locomotive carries the Bristolian nameplate and the number 116 on the smokebox, and the fireman is waving from the cab. At left is a signal. Signed at bottom right by the artist. Framed, unglazed.
