Vacuum pump used by Glaxo at two pilot plants at their Greenford site during 1956-1970 and 1970-1994 for new drug development. Some of the principle drugs developed and marketed by GlaxoWellcome in which this pump would have played a part in the R&D process include: Becotide (asthma drug which received the Queen's Award; Zinacef (antibiotic); Fortum (third generation inhectable antibiotic which received the Queen's Award); Zinnat (oral antibiotic which received the Queen's Award); Flixotide (asthma). The pump was refurbished by APM Electro Mechanical Services Ltd.
