Maintained pressure dry powder fire extinguisher

This type of fire extinguisher employs a dry powder extinguishant and is particularly suitable for dealing with fires on the surface of flammable liquids.

The powder is expelled, on depressing the handle, by a charge of compressed air at 150 lbs. per sq. in. It is charged by means of an air pump or from a compressed air line.
