Left above knee temporary pylon with felt-lined fibre socket. Duralumin supporting strips. Webbing suspension straps attached to double cords which pass around a pair of rollers in the mid-calf. This prevented chafing from the shoulder strap whilst walking. Made in the New Zealand General Hospital at Walton-on-Thames during 1914-18 War.
