Blackmore, Engineer to the Company. 1837.Cover has lithograph of the locomotive "Tyne" hauling passenger carriage and open goods cart. Two workmen nearby with crane hoist and goods to load. Handwritten note - Presented to the Carlisle Literary and Philosophical Society by the Directors of the Newcastle and Carlisle Railway. 1st copy includes page one - dedication of drawings by John Blackmore. 2nd copy has page 1 and page 2 - Address - about the railway. 3rd copy - cover only. Price of booklet 5s.
