Painting, gouache on board, Ilfracombe, by Dobson Broadhead, about 1952. Depicts the view looking down on Ilfracombe harbour, with yachts and fishing boats, and a paddle steamer departing through the harbour entrance. In the foreground a man and woman view the scene from gardens overlooking the harbour, with cliffs on the other side. At left is a tree framing the scene, and at bottom right a hydrangea. Signed by the artist at bottom left. Original artwork for a British Railways (Western Region) poster. 25 x 40 in.; 635 x 1016 mm.
