Bamboo grain measure, cut from a single hollow section of bamboo, 7 3/4" height overall, 3 5/8" average internal diam. at the open end, bottom closed by the natural joint of the plant. Bound with 3 brass bands top, middle and bottom. Period late 17th century, Assam.
