ARP Model 2500 Synthesiser Modular Analogue units and detachable keyboard in working order, with instruction manual, and circuit diagrams (both copies) 1970. Acquired and used by Dartington College of Art, Totnes.

In 1970, ARP Instruments introduced its first modular synthesizer, the model 2500, in direct competition with the popular Moog synthesizers. ARP Instruments had been established a year earlier in 1969 by electronics engineer Alan R. Pearlman. The 2500 was a technologically advanced synthesizer following the traditional modular format with space for 15 modules with the Studio wood cabinet or 8 modules with the Wing cabinets and available for customisation by buyers.
