Wooden mechanical cash register, by Adler Cycle Aktieselskab, Copenhagen, c. 1890
Autographic cash register. The assistant writes the details of the transaction on the paper roll visible in the aperture. Turning the handle feeds the top copy out for the customer to keep; a carbon copy is retained inside the machine. In some designs turning the handle also releases the cash drawer.
The manufacturer, Adler Cycle Aktieselskab, was a bicycle company based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
