Schevenhuyse Voor aan in Zylstraat Caart Konstverkooper, nd. [Holland, 1600-1700]. Engraving; [cut to platemark] 58x53cm on sheet 61x53cm., folding to 53x30.5cm. Re-issued and re-engraved for the Dutch market by Ambr. Schevenhuyse, after A. Saliba, A.D W and Cornelis de Jode (c1568-1600). Possibly a folio bookplate? Chart of the materials and elements - earth, air, fire, water - phenomena etc. comprising the Earth, depicted in circular layers with Hell at its core; including miners, comets, war, lightning, rainbows; with corner squares concerning the Sun and Moon and their Eclipses.
