Mechanical painting, Nymph adorning the Statue of Pan, by Francis Eginton, c.1778. Image oval platemark 27x19.7cm, cut to octagonal, 28.4x20.7cm, in new mount and frame 43.5x35.5x3cm. After a painting by Angelica Kauffmann, or an engraving of it in 1776 by Ryland. Formerly inventoried as a sun picture by James Watt; please see information sheet for fuller details.
