Prototype molecular models constructed for André Dreiding in the basement of the Institute of Organic Chemistry of the University of Zurich in 1958. They are not to scale and so differ slightly in size. Three first prototype units: 1 tetrahedral carbon, 1 carbon double bond, 1 oxygen. Two second prototype units: 1 nitrogen, 1 carbonyl.
