Tinder-bag or "skippertogan" (27 x 6 1/2 ins) of deer-skin, with long leather frill at bottom and handsomely ornamented, both back and front, with large floral designs in brightly-coloured bead work; native work by Indian squaws; used for carrying flint, steel, pipe, and tobacco (all missing); worn by the Indian warriors in front, suspended from the waist-belt; bought, July 1884, from a Cree Indian, on the prairie near Swift Current, N.W.T., by Mr. Miller Christy, and presented by him December 1927. Canada.
