Folding field camera for 4 3/4 x 6 1/2 inch plates. Fitted with a Portland soft focus lens F; 9 inches f/4.5-16 Serial No 2071. Sold by James A. Sinclair and Co. Serial No 721107 and 346. Sliding rising and cross front. Tailboard design. Rack and pinion focusing. Double extension. Swing back. Square bellows. Hinged ground glass focusing screen with clear centre spot. Reversible back. R & J Beck. c.1889. with lens cap.

Field cameras were light-weight and could be folded down into a compact size. This camera is of tailboard design and was sold by James A Sinclair.
