A photograph of RMS 'Viceroy of India', taken in 1933 by Leslie Cardew for the Daily Herald.

The RMS 'Viceroy of India' was owned and operated by the Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation company, or P&O. The ship was launched in 1928, and sunk by a German U-boat in 1942 after being converted to a troopship.
