Concordia is a charity established in south east England in 1943, with the original aim of encouraging young people to help with the war effort by harvesting fruit and crops. In 1949 the charity changed its name to Concordia (Youth Service Volunteers). The group were arriving back in London after a five week tour of Yugoslavia.
