Standing by the blackboard is William H A Porter, of Robert Blair Boys School in Islington, London. He is teaching the evacuees in the classroom of the Baptist Church Sunday School, Hemel Hempstead. This photograph is one of a series taken to illustrate a Dudley Barker feature story on workers in wartime.
