Railway sleeper, from contractor's railway used during the construction of the line from Croydon to Dover, 1842. Found during the excavation of the ground during the construction of the Channel Tunnel Link line near Ashford, Kent, May 1992. (Approximately 107" long, 10" wide and 5" deep).
