Factory-sealed version of Apple's Hypercard software, made by Apple Inc, United States, 1985.

Apple Computer's Hypercard, designed by Bill Atkinson, was initially released in 1987. It allowed users to create virtual 'stacks' of cards which showed text, sound or images. A basic scripting language, 'HyperTalk' allowed users to link the cards and create commands. Users could create hypermedia books and games. It was withdrawn from sale in 2004, although by then had not been updated for many years.
