Ring spinning frame, made by Platt Brothers & Co. Ltd, Oldham, 1901, and used at Brooklands Mill, Leigh. Shortened frame, for spinning medium counts with 16 spindles each side. Rollers and their stands on one side missing. Used for spinning test pieces at Brooklands Mill. Inscription embossed on sides of frame: maker's details.
