Bayonet to Edison screw cap lamp adaptor with integral rotary switch. Also fitted with 150W lamp, pearl.

Part of the Bob Gray collection of electrical objects.

Both bayonet (twist and lock) and screw types of lamp cap are available in the UK. This adapter allowed users to fit whichever type was convenient. It also includes a rotary switch. It is a relatively typical, low quality gadget. It could be used, for example, to fit lamps made in continental Europe onto a British lamp holder.
