Souvenir medal or token from Lourdes, France, maker not marked, possibly French, 2013. This brass-coloured medal or token shows on one side a representation of Our Lady of Lourdes and on the other a portrait of Pope Benedict XVI. It was purchased from one of the innumerable small shops in Lourdes, France, on 4th or 5th July 2013, four months after Pope Benedict XVI unexpectedly resigned after eight years in office. Author and maker unknown.
