Single sided 10 inch gramophone record, 'His Masters's Voice: Post Office Telephones: Automatic telephone tones'. Number OTP 5725, ref no JHS 15, made by the Gramophone Company Limited, England, 1930-1960.

This record was produced to familiarise the public, as well as possibly Post Office staff, with the specially-generated tones that indicated the progress of a telephone call when handled by an automatic exchange. It is believed to have been used in conjunction with the Post Office demonstration telephone set that was provided to schools.
