Female figure, part of skin and wall of uterus removed showing foetus in utero

The plaque is made from wax and carved in relief to give a 3-D effect. It shows a female figure dissected to show a foetus in the uterus. The bottom half of the breasts are also dissected. The dissected woman is shown with robes, drawing on a classical style of art, a common practice at this time.
