Dorothy Dean Ltd

Dorothy Dean Ltd was a hosiery repair business based at 89 High Street, Wealdstone, Harrow. It is known to have been in operation from at least February 1949. Dorothy Dean advertised that their "D.D. Machines" could be used to mend nylons and any laddered hosiery. The machines were marketed as being for rent to individuals working from home and to retail businesses, such as drapers, laundries and tailors.

The last known mention of Dorothy Dean Ltd dates to March 1967, when the company was granted permission by the local authority to continue to use their premises as a betting shop.
