Thomas McLachlan and Partners, based at 4 Hanway Place, London, W.l., were a public analysts company established by Thomas McLachlan, who died on August 16th, 1991, at the age of 97. He was elected to membership of the Society of Public Analysts and Other Analytical Chemists in 1922 and was made a Vice-president of its successor body, the Society of Analytical Chemistry, for the period 1953-54. Mr. McLachlan also served as President of the Association of Public Analysts and of the IFST. They were mostly consulting drug and food technologists.
