Mott, F.F

Mott entered the service of the Lanchester Motor Company in its early years & subsequently became chief tester. He left the firm in 1919 to take a similar post with D Napier & Sons, and when the Acton firm ceased car manufacture in 1924 he joined the Gwynne Car Co. of Chiswick. He then became Service Manager to Morris Commercial Cars & later Chief Engineer to this firm until the time of his death.

He made a journey to East Africa to demonstrate the Morris Roadless Lorry fitted with caterpillar gear manufactured by the Roadless Traction Company, to be demonstrated from Mombasa via Tanga to Nairobi. He left Dover early January 1925 and was away for over 12 months.
