Greenaway, Frank 1917 - 2013

1917-2013, museum curator, British; Welsh

Studied chemistry at Jesus College, Oxford, before serving in the Second World War as a bomb disposal officer. Subsequently taught in Bournemouth and Epsom Grammar School before working at Kodak in Harrow.

1949 - joined the Science Museum as an Assistant Keeper.

1959 - became a Deputy Keeper.

1964 - developed new Chemistry Galleries at the Science Museum.

1966 - published John Dalton and the Atom. 1967-1980 - Keeper of Chemistry at the Science Museum.

1977 - refurbished the Science Museum Chemistry Galleries.

2007 - published his autobiography Chymia Acta.
