Henry James O’Neill, (1881 – 1943) was Chairman of the London and South Western/Southern Railway Servants Orphanage at Woking from 1935 to 1943. Prior to that, he held the position of Vice Chairman of the Orphanage from 1923 to 1935. He began working for the London and South Western Railway Company in the late 1890s and rose to become Chief Inspector at Nine Elms Depot in London, before becoming Chief Canvasser for the Southern Railway Company. Henry O’Neill was Chairman of the Orphanage until his death, at the age of 62, in 1943.
