Counter Information Services

The Counter Information Service (CIS) were a collection of journalists who published information not covered or collated by the established media. Their aim was to investigate the major social and economic institutions that governed peoples daily lives. They hoped this would enable basic facts and assumptions about these institutions to be more widely known.
