Compukit

Compukit manufactured the Compukit UK101 microcomputer in 1979. This was a kit clone of the Ohio Scientific Superboard II single-board computer, with a few changes to suit the needs of the UK market. It could be bought as a kit, or fully assembled, for an additional fee. The computer had 4k of memory. The design was initially published in four installments in a popular UK computer hobbyists magazine, Practical Electronics, in 1979.

Two years of legal battles with the makers of the Ohio Scientific Superboard II saw the Compukit UK101 fall behind its rival technically.
