1868 - Fritz Huguenin, engraver, and his brother Albert Huguenin, engine turner, set up a small handcrafting watchcase-decorating workshop using niello technique, located at Le Locle, Switzerland; 1888 - issued their first medal; 1899 - factory built and company began to manufacture; also made watch cases until 1955 when that part of the business was sold; 1968 - Huguenin Médailleurs S.A.; 1999 - merged with Kramer of Neuenburg/Neuchätel; 2002 - Huguenin + Kramer merged with Faude to become Faude & Huguenin SA, based at Bellevue 32, 2400 Le Locle ; Faude & Huguenin AG, based at Stauseestrasse 1, 5316 Gippingen, Switzerland
