1947 - Chief Industrial Officer at Council of Industrial Design. Awarded OBE in recognition of the important contribution he made to the success of the Festival exhibitions via his book for the 1951 Festival of Britain. Book enabled each pavilion designer to observe what was available, preventing a number of pavilions showing one well-publicised item, whilst others were not shown at all.
