Founded in 1920 . It made cameras for a short while after WW2. It made Horn products then updated to resin and plastic and used these to make cameras. Montanus Kamerafabrik started production as Potthoff&Co in Solingen. The company name was also spelled: Montanus-Camerabau - Potthoff & Co., Solingen-Ohligs. By the earky 1960s it could compete with Japenese counterparts but existed until 1978.
