Graduated with degree in communications from the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 1977; worked in advertising after graduating in 1977; professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Barcelona 1979-1986, after which he earned a living through his photography; co-founder in 1980 and Editor in Chief of Spanish/English visual arts journal 'PhotoVision'; from 1993 professor of audiovisual communication at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona.
