Worked with photographer E Sanger-Shepherd, and on the Kromskop camera for Frederic Ives in 1898, while at the same time developing his colour motion picture system with financing from Frederick Marshall Lee. In 1899 Turner and Lee patented the three-colour motion picture system, the first patented system to lead to a working model, and the world’s first motion picture system for producing natural colours.
