Emil Wünsche (1864-1902) established a camera shop in Dresden in 1887, selling re-badged and locally manufactured cameras; in 1884/1885 Wunsche bought up three of the local camera manufacturers (Paul Förster, Louis Lang and Dienwiebel & Co) moving his operations to a purpose-built factory at Reick just outside Dresden; in 1898 the company became the Emil Wünsche Aktiengesellschaft für photographische Industrie Reick (Emil Wünsche AG); in addition to cameras the company produced a wide range of photographic goods and equipment; merged in 1909 to become part of ICA.
