Founded by Mr B J Swinnerton in 1906; the company became limited in 1911. They were based at Vulcan Pottery, Washington Works and Victoria Place, Hanley. In 1959 they were taken over by the Lawley Group which was subsequently acquired by Allied English Potteries Limited, at which point the Swinnerton name was lost.
