c. 1900 - Two Forbes brothers found boat building business in Sandhaven. Later, the firm was taken over by James and George Forbes. 1987 - the company was incorporated and became J & G Forbes & Co (Boatbuilders) Limited. 1990 - the final ship: the 'Fruitful Vine' was launched.
