1927 - started by Hubert Scott-Paine after he bought the Hythe Shipyard on the Isle of Wight. 1931 - delivered the prototype Seaplane Tender numbered RAF 200, a 37/2 ft craft. 1935 - received the first orders for MTBs for the Royal Navy. 1940 - George Selman employed as Chief Designer.
