1802 - succeeded Robert Thew as engraver to the prince of Wales. 1813 - awarded the lesser gold medal of the Society of Arts. 1815 - gained the gold Isis medal. 1820 - was a mourner at Benjamin West's funeral. 1820 - engraved for Byron's publisher, John Murray, a drawing of Byron made in Venice. 1810 - was the prime mover and general secretary in the founding of the Artists' Fund of Provident Care (Artists' Annuity Fund or the Artists' Fund).
