Andrew MacLure (1812-1885) respected Scottish artish, painter and lithographer; established printers, engarvers and lithographers MacLure & MacDonald with Archibold Grey MacDonald in Glasgow in 1835; photographed by Hill and Adamson c 1843; worked on Hill and Adamson's 'Illustrations of the Principles of Toleration in Scotland'; Frank Maclure, one of Andrew MacLure’s sons, was made lithographer to Queen Victoria in 1886.
