Artist and photographer born Jamaica in 1945; came to Britain in 1955; photography in fields of fashion, advertising and documentary, as well as anti-racism and oral history; in 1969 began documentary record 'The Black Triangle' of the African diaspora, resulting in book and exhibition of same name touring London, Birmingham, Bradford, Manchester and Atlanta; project continued with 'Children of Black Triangle' in 1988.
