Charles Buchet (1848-1933), pharmacist, worked nearly fifty years in " the Pharmacie centrale de France", of which he was latterly Director and President during 35 years. In 1913, he conceived the project of a french society of history of pharmacy, which was achieved with the help of E.-H. Guitard and P. Dorveauz.
